Managing the Chart of Accounts: QuickBooks

Sometimes, Trial Balance reports don't have all the right information. If you are a Quickbooks user, this is often related to your Chart of Accounts settings.

As a Quickbooks user, you can take steps to ensure that account numbers are both in use and turned on in your system. We recommend the Quickbooks Support site as the best source of information for using your Quickbooks software. 

As always, we suggest you consult your CPA when making changes that may impact your financial reporting.

For Quickbooks Online users: 
We require account numbers for successful participation in our Trial Balance program. However, account numbers are not required by default in QuickBooks Online.
