QuickBooks Online: Export a Trial Balance report

Reporting is simple when you use the standard report. Review the configuration and save a version that ensures a consistent format every quarter. You can even share the report with everyone in your company and make it a favorite so it's easy to find each quarter.

Here are a few things to know:

• Make sure Account Numbers are turned on and review them each quarter to ensure all your accounts are named and numbered

• In Report Settings, choose the option to use a dash where there is no value for debits and credits

• Always choose Year-to-Date from the dropdown

• Select the correct ending date for the period

• Export as a CSV or Excel file
